Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineers Exam (SSC-JEE)
It is a junior engineers exam organised by Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment for Junior Engineers in different fields of engineering which comprise Civil, Electrical and Mechanical. Candidates who all are selected, are to be posted at either of the State/Central Government offices which include CPWD, Water commission, MES, Farrakka Barrage Project, Central Water Power Research Station and Quality Assurance Naval. SSC JE exam is usually conducted in two papers -Paper I and II.
Details and pattern of JE Question Paper-I: 200marks
All the questions mentioned in question paper-I would be objective type and the candidates will have to select only one most appropriate answer from the four other options. It is an online test i.e. computer based test.
The time duration to answer all the questions in the question paper I would be 2 hours and timing would be from 10 am to 12 pm.
Details and pattern of JE Question Paper-II: 300marks
All the questions mentioned in the second question paper would be descriptive in nature and all the candidates need to have ample knowledge of all the topics asked in the examination along with excellent writing skills. The mode of the test is pen and paper mode i.e. it is an offline test.
The time duration to answer all the questions in the question paper II would be 2 hours and the timing will be from 02pm to 04 pm.
The provision of negative marking will be there in the question paper and 0.25 marks will be deducted as penalty for every incorrect answer.
The candidate who clears the Paper-I is allowed to appear for the next examination i.e. Paper-II.
The exams can be conducted in any of the two languages either English or Hindi.
