National Defence Academy (NDA)

The National Defence Academy (NDA) is a Joint Services academy of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services, the Army, the Navy and the Air Force are trained together before they move on to their respective service academies for further pre-commissioning trainings. The NDA is located in Khadakwasla, Pune and Maharashtra. It is the first tri-service academy in the world.

NDA alumni have led and fought in every major conflict in which the Indian Armed Forces has been called to action since the academy was established.


Mode of the examination would be offline i.e. Pen and paper based. The question paper type would be objective or MCQ. There will be a total of 270 questions which will include 120 from Mathematics and 150 from General Ability Test. The total weightage of the examination would be 900 Marks i.e. 300 Marks for Mathematics and 600 Marks for General Ability Test. Time duration allocated for each section is 2.30 hours.
