Engineering Services Examination (ESE)
Engineering Services Examination (ESE) is an examination which is conducted annually by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). It is specifically for selection of officers for the engineering services who meet the managerial as well as technical requirements in diverse fields of Engineering of the Government of India. Indian Engineering Services (IES) has only papers for 4 branches - Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics.
Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineers Exam (SSC-JEE)
It is a junior engineers exam organised by Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment for Junior Engineers in different fields of engineering which comprise Civil, Electrical and Mechanical. Candidates who all are selected, are to be posted at either of the State/Central Government offices which include CPWD, Water commission, MES, Farrakka Barrage Project, Central Water Power Research Station and Quality Assurance Naval. SSC JE exam is usually conducted in two papers -Paper I and II.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination that predominantly tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science. This exam is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technologies at Roorkee, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai (Madras) and Mumbai (Bombay) on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.
Railway Recruitment Boards Junior Engineer - Senior Section Engineer (RRB JE -SSE)
Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) usually publish the vacancies for vacant positions for the officers in Railways through Employment News, both in Hindi and English Languages.
The notifications or commonly known as the recruitment advertisements for Recruitment for engineers and other non-technical and technical posts and also are referred to as the Centralized Employment Notifications (CEN).
Public sector undertaking (PSU)
A state-owned enterprise in India is known as a Public sector undertaking (PSUs Coaching) or a public sector enterprise. These companies are owned by the Union Government of India, or one of the State or territorial governments, or both. The company stock needs to be majorly-owned by the government to be a PSU. PSU may be classified as Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), public sector banks (PSBs) or State Level Public Enterprises (SLPEs).

Age Limit-The age limit of candidate should be 18 years for the Posts 1 -9 and that for the Posts 10 would be 18 years to 25 years. According to government rules and regulations the upper age relaxation has been given to different category.
Educational Qualification-B.tech/Graduation or any technical degree from any recognised university or college.
OTHER STATE AE/JE EXAMS
Recruitment from every State takes place for the posts of AE (Assistant Engineer), JE (Junior Engineer) and MT (Management Trainee) every year on the basis of merit. There are minimum 100-200 vacancies separately for AE, JE & MT every year. Approximately there are about 5000- 6000 vacancies per year in all over the India. All the Departments of the Central India & States release their own vacancies in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Electronics Engineering.
